Job Summary

As a swim instructor with Ivy Swim School, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire and educate swimmers while fostering a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Whether you're teaching private or semi-private lessons, your role is pivotal in helping students improve their swimming skills and confidence in the water.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching private and semi-private swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

  • Providing constructive feedback to students to help improve their swimming techniques.

  • Ensuring the safety of all participants during lessons.

  • Assisting with setting up and putting away swim lesson equipment as well as deck clean-up.

What we Are Looking For ↓

  • Prior teaching experience, with a willingness to learn and grow.

  • Strong knowledge of swim techniques and water safety principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and parents.

Qualifications ↓

  • 3+ years of previous teaching experience.

  • Certification in lifeguarding (we can help you acquire this certification if needed)

  • Competitive swim team experience plus!

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

    Hours:
    - Mon-Thu 3pm-8pm
    - Sat & Sun 9am-2pm

    Minimum 2 shifts required
    Year round

  • Glen Ridge

    Hours:
    - AM Mon-Thu 9am-1pm
    - PM Tue 5pm-7pm

    Summer only
    Accepting college candidates

  • Highland Park

    Hours:
    - Tue 2:30pm-5pm

    Year round
    Groups ages 2-5
    Accepting college candidates

  • At-Homes

    Hours:
    - Flexible
    - Evenings & weekends available
    - Summer only

    Must be very responsible and able to drive
